Hiked Horton Creek with my wife. We were hoping to see some leaves changing color and were somewhat successful.

The trailhead was fairly crowded but we were able to park along the road not far away from the parking lot.

The weather was quite warm which did not bode well for the leaves changing color. The earlier portions of the trail were still green which was a bit discouraging. As we proceeded the elevation increased, the breeze picked up a bit, and there were more colorful trees present along the trail.

When we got to the top we checked out the two springs. As usual Horton was running at a good clip. Although apparently not enough to make it to the trailhead and earlier portions on the trail (which were dry). The 2nd spring, East Fork of Horton creek was also running but at more of a trickle. This spring was very pretty at there was a small dripping waterfall with a hanging garden type look.

This was a great hike as usual. We probably could have gone a week or two later for better leaf colors
