Started from Tortilla TH and hiked to the summit of Music Mountain.

FR213 Walk Always a great warmup in the morning. Saw the new register at the post site @Daytripper set up. Typically a good time to see wildlife but nothing today.

Peter's Trail Always a favorite and did not disappoint. The lower section that follows the banks of Tortilla Creek are very overgrown so hiking a dry creek bed was best. Once you leave the creek the trail is, well, how I remember a Superstition trail before most got "urban groomed", just how I like, easy to follow but your gonna get snagged along the way. Signs of the Woodbury Fire is still seen but the area looks better on each trip.

Music Mountain Summit This has been on my todo list for a while. Left Peter's Trail at an angle to what looked like a doable route to the top and it worked out great. Some catclaw but not too bad considering the area. The climb up was at a decent slope so no exposure at all. Once on top we located the register, admired the sites, and had lunch. Fantastic climb.

Returned back to the TH on the same route.
