| no partners | | Hiked from Pomeroy Tanks to Sycamore Falls--about a mile one way and basically level ground. The trail follows the drainage and crosses over 4 times. The crossings were dry, but all the deep spots were full of water. Lots of mosquitos, and West Nile virus has been identified in Coconino County. Didn't see anyone else on the trail. There were many climbers at Sycamore Falls/Paradise Forks. Headed back when I heard the first thunder, but got rained on anyway. The lightning didn't get close enough to worry about. Lots of fungus of all colors, except the earthstars that I saw in the area last year. |
