| no partners | | I had never been out this way before and the perennial water made this a no brainer with the dogs.
We arrived at the trailhead at about 12:30 and the parking lot was almost completely full. I had considered making a loop of this but thought staying close to the water was a better idea with the dogs.
What surprised me the most about this trail is how green and healthy the grass is in many areas close to the creek. The flow was healthy throughout the hike and the dogs loved splashing around in multiple spots.
I saw probably 20-30 people split evenly between backpackers and hikers, but the trail didn't seem too busy. At my turnaround point there was a group of 10 backpackers setting up camp right on the trail.
This trail system is pretty fantastic so close to town and I will be back soon to explore further! |
