We started hiking the Waterline Road on our inbound leg and followed the road for about 1.5 miles before reaching the unmarked trail (we named it Sugarloaf Trail) that returns you to Lockett Meadow Spring. The road was a nice, shady reprieve for a very sunny and cool day. The road is lined on both sides with Quaking Aspen. Many of the trees were just beginning to turn to their Autumn colors.
We saw a large camping group (we think they were from Prescott Community College)as we hiked along the road. |
