| no partners | | | Made a stop on the drive from NY, scenic River with some nice walks around the five battlefield stops. Only recorded route on the Worthington Farm River loop, other trails available online at monocacynbfoundation.com. Hiked near the site of the Calvary crossing the Monocacy in 1864 during the bold insurrection attempt to capture the Capitol. The Union Army delayed the attempt just long enough. Compared to other battlefield walks I’ve done in the summer it was nice to walk some paths that are well maintained with the grass not standing waist high! |
