I drove through some pretty heavy rain on the way down here today and I had my doubts about being able to hike. Once I arrived the mountain was engulfed and you couldn’t even see the peak. I pulled up to the Hunter Trail head and waited about 10 minutes for the rain to stop. I decided to give it a go and I’m glad I did. It was absolutely incredible from the bottom to the top. I felt like I was in a scene from gorillas in the mist.
