It's a week of basking in the sun, swimming, beach walking, collecting sea shells, overeating seafood, enjoying adult beverages and catching up with family.
This year family came from Arizona, Michigan and North Carolina. We had 38 family members ranging from my 95 year old mom, to my 7 month old Grandson. We were spread out across 3 rental houses all a short walking distance from the beach. We had rain/clouds the first full day, so that was a great day to get in some beach walking with them being empty.
Chapin, Mayflower, Corporation, Howes, Harborview were the various beaches that were walked. In this area in Cape Cod Bay, the tide goes out more than a mile, so it makes for some big beaches. At high tide the walking gets tougher in the soft sand or rocks, so some of the scenic streets were walked to complete some of the loops. The photoset and stats are for the week. |
