Decided on a long loop in the Goldfield Mountains for our post Thanksgiving hike. This is an excellent loop using mostly well defined horse trails with only a short walk on a section of Packsaddle Road on the way to check out Cottonwood Spring. During the hike we saw a herd of javalina, a tarantula spider, and a herd of Bighorn Sheep. Only saw two other hikers on the loop until we were within a quarter mile of the TH. Excellent day and a great hike.
