| no partners | | While in the midwest in the summer, my exercise is waterskiing.
I waterski just about everyday, early in the morning when the chances are higher to have smooth water, and very little boat traffic.
Slalom waterskiing gives a great workout for just about every muscle, including even those little finger muscles.
I consider hiking a marathon, as far as exercise is concerned, and slalom waterskiing as a sprint, by comparison. When I ski, I simulate skiing through a "waterski slalom course", cutting back and forth continuously, while the boat driver goes as straight as possible at a specific, constant speed.
It's a great workout.
After a ski session, I often go for a boat ride around all three lakes that make up Lauderdale lakes.
On a weekday morning, in the fall, I'm usually the only boat out there, except for a stray fisherman here and there. That's exactly how this boat ride went.
The trees have not changed to colorful fall hues yet.
I'll get another triplog/photoset on HAZ when the trees "light-up", in fall colors. |
