This trail is suppose to run from Santa Gertudis Lane up to the Tubac Presdio State Historic Park, but we found that it crosses the Santa Cruz River in a couple of spots, and the signs say not to enter the river. I think maybe some bridges were washed out or something. We went from the bottom (Santa Gertudis Lane) up as far as we could, backtracked, then drove up to the State Park, and hiked down as far as we could and backtracked again making for about 8 miles total.

This is a great birding location, even though we were there on an off season we saw plenty of birds. It is also a bit of a cooler hike since it does roughly follow the river and has large trees throughout the hike.
