| partners | | I’ve been here once before when it was a bit too hot to enjoy so a return trip had been on my mind for a while. Note: This is a technical canyoneering route, but there are areas you can explore around with mild scrambling and/or downclimbs. This trip, we encountered a very sticky clay like mud when we got down into one of the narrower slot areas. Other areas we explored led to mandatory rappels. Without any proper technical canyoneering gear, it was too risky to continue trying to explore too much further down into the canyon.
We explored many overlook areas and climbed down to areas we could safely navigate and explore. Even without the full canyoneering experience, this place will completely leave you in awe! The geology here is unlike anything I’ve ever seen and just incredibly unique. There isn’t too much info available on this place {that I’ve been able to find}, so I’d love to find a way to research it in more depth to be able to explore down in the slots a bit more.
