Did this as the first leg of a loop hike with rlrjamy (Bob). We went up Sixshooter to the top, over to Pinal Peak, and then down Icehouse. It was pouring rain when we first got to the trailhead, but it disappeared after a few miles. The top was exceptionally windy. Like move-your-body windy. The fall color was marginal, and should be spectacular by next weekend. Excellent way to spend a Saturday. Glad to have met Bob, and this hike was very very cool. Saw Grasshopper's jeep at the trailhead. 14.7 miles and 4800' of AEG. Nice.
