Hannah, Pauli, Skippy, and I headed up FR651 to Pinal Peak. Parked at the upper TH for Trail #197 and #204. Headed down the trail to checkout the reported sawmill and mine ruins. Fungus is growing everywhere. We had a black bear encounter at the water pooled near the junction of Six Shooter Trail and Telephone Trail! :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared:

Ever seen a bear do a face plant? We did. Guess we startled the bear more than it did us! It picked itself up and galloped down the canyon out of sight. Unfortunately no photographic evidence --- needed to get the dogs under control first... ;)
