Great day for a great hike. Went beyond Boulder Flat about 1.5 miles up to the next basin. Saw some pinyons hanging on. Looks like Boulder Flat used to be full of junipers and oaks. They're mostly barbecued now. There were a few junipers still there. Didn't see any cows or much cow manure, but there were a good # of hoofprints. There was water everywhere. Every drainage had water in it, and it hasn't rained for 6 days. Lots of people as well, but I saw most of them late in the day in the vicinity of the saddle as I was headed down. Very reminiscent of Douglas Spring Trail in the Rincons.
