Went to see the Sandhill Cranes after skipping it for a year or two. Saw probably 10,000-20,000 of them - it's hard to even estimate. Quite the spectacle, and I highly recommend it.
Plenty of other good birds too - I got about 25 different species - but no Barn Owl ... I can never catch them!
Lots of people on the day before Christmas Eve - but there's also plenty of room to spread out, so it was still peaceful.
