Showed up around sunset and got to see the Sandhill Cranes hanging out. It’s always astonishing how loud they are. I imagine them chatting about their day and who ate what.

We camped in the van in the camping area. Taco wasn’t interested in walking too much.

I got up at sunrise and watched several groups take off. It was probably below freezing. Then around 10 walked the full loop and there wasn’t a crane to be seen in the immediate area but there was a Vermillion Fly Catcher!
