These trails are all pretty easy and are cross country skiing and snowshoeing routes in the winter, and hiking and mountain biking trails in the summer. 42 degrees at the start, rainy, but no wind.
Headed west on an old forest/logging road now designated as Havin Fun Trail. Mostly level, easy walking, not terribly muddy. At the end of that trail, we got on Jeanette’s Jaunt Trail and took that back east. It parallels Havin Fun, but below it, and is a single track instead of an old road. Prettier than the road, with slightly more up and down, but you could hear the I-90 traffic at times. There were a few easy creek crossings, but it was quite muddy in places. Still 42 degrees at the finish, and it rained the entire time. Not particularly exciting hiking trails, but I can see why they are popular in the winter. Had the place to ourselves today. |
