Met Katie at Pima Canyon this morning to give her the hiking clothes I had posted. Gate was still closed, so we parked in the neighborhood. The weather seemed a little iffy, but we decided to head out anyway and turn around if the lightning got much closer. Turned out to be fine.

Up the road and Mormon Loop, seeing one rattler, then came down Hidden Valley. Original plan was to come down National, but Katie said she liked scrambling, so we stayed in the wash instead. Some puddles in the wash from last night’s rain—good to see. Lots of hikers and bikers on the road as we finished. Turned out to be a good morning weatherwise. Great to meet Katie and share some hiking ideas and pleasant conversation!
