Always wanted to check out Black Top Mesa. used the black mesa loop to make it more interesting. perfect day out there. It's been a long time since i was out in this area and i had forgotten how great the scenery can be, so i ooh'd and ahh'd at everything along the way

nice route up to black top mesa, which offers great views.

came back on black mesa. the mid portion of this trail has some significant burn damage.

only 2 cars at first water when i finished. great day out there. dry as a bone though
