Route Scout data used to create this route needs to replace MapDex route which is oversimplified, but does show correct trailhead. The driving directions on 9/9/23 required access to gated community. The east end of High Valley Ranch Trail is on Copper Basin Road, where paved surface ends (see photo). There is room for 2-3 vehicles starting 100 yards past the end of the paved surface on Copper Basin Road, so you only need access to the gated community if you have a large group and can figure out how to get to the trail from wherever you park. The west end of High Valley Ranch Trail is at Potts Creek Trail #327. About halfway in between are views of Thumb Butte, Bill Williams Mountain and, on a clear day, San Francisco Peaks.
