| no partners | | | This was my second hike since mitral heart valve repair in mid-November 2023. Starting and ending at the Williamson Valley Trailhead, it was half a mile further (than the north end of Willow Trail #347 to its junction with Mint Wash Trail #345) for a total of 3 miles with more uphill than Willow Trail #347. In addition to the gradual climb on Tin Trough Springs Trail #308, the north end of Mint Wash Trail #345 has a much steeper section than Willow Trail #347 which is downhill on the way south and gets the heart and legs pumping a little extra northwards on the return to the junction with Tin Trough Springs Trail #308. In addition to immediate surroundings of chaparral, there are views of the San Francisco peaks snowcapped in January. |
