We followed the original poster's description of how to get up to the top, but we came back down a different (easier) way. There is a drainage that you can follow to the north east at the turn off where the ridge "forks". It was fairly decent going down, with many large boulders to step down on. Where the drainage comes to a large cliff, we turned left and made our way for the large wash, continuing on to the northwest. Once at the wash, it was easy going back. We followed it northwest until it meet back up with an old road and then followed that back to the starting area. I would not miss going up to the ridge as we did, but making the hike into a loop was enjoyable. |
