| no partners | | Parked at the corral where there was a rancher working on the concrete tank, loaded up my overnight gear and set off to camp on top of The Spine. After about .75 mile hiking down the wash, I ran into a private property, no trespassing sign, hung by Asarco. It was on a fence that was strung across the wash and appeared to stretch in both directions for a long way. Is it possible this land was recently acquired, or had been private but was recently put to use and fenced off? Regardless, I turned around and headed to Picketpost instead. I'm interested if anyone knows anything about this. I don't recall anything about this in prior triplogs, and I'm fairly certain I was on track. |
