A trip to Wade's World. The start wasn't as cool as expected because of the cloud cover but the cloud cover kept it from warming up later so that was good. There were several hikers out. The ones I talked to were training for the Grand Canyon of course. Wasn't sure how I'd feel on this hike after mostly easy 9 mile trips or less but my legs held up. I ran into hikerdw near the top. It was good to see him and we stopped talked a bit. There were some light sprinkles for a little while. Just enough to keep you cool. The views were hazy because of the low clouds but that made for a nice change. A few 4X4 were driving up FR27 when I had about a mile left. Not sure how they did. A good workout to get ready for the cooler weather.
