Chris had another AZT hike on the list and I'm still sampling sections so this was good. The morning started cool so that was a plus. Like most AZT sections the trail is well maintained. The grades were gentle which allowed a quicker pace. No real shade but there was a breeze for much of the way to counter the heat. All the AZT gates had bypasses on this out and back. We finished early and made it back to the valley in good time.
