Great day for a great hike. It was nice to see Wally and Bob again, and it was equally nice to meet The Man (Joe B.), Chris, Alex, and Denny.
We did a much better job of staying on the South Fork Trail, and evidently there are now cairns. Lots and lots of cairns, but route finding was still difficult in spots. South Fork is a good degree better than Deer Creek.
I think we'd all agree that going up South Fork, and down Gold Ridge is the way to go. Going up Gold Ridge looks like it would be an exercise in sadomasochism.
I'm just glad that no Cardinals fans threw anything at us as we drove the Beeline in Stiller's SteelerMobile.
