| no partners | | Took my niece out for a few miles of walking in the snow. (No, really. Not that niece, a real one!  ) I'd done a snowshoe loop from this trailhead a couple of years ago and with a few inches of fresh snowfall overnight I figured this area might be nice.
My planned route hadn't received any foot traffic and despite the dry champagne powder™ and temps in the low 20s, I didn't really want to plow the route in my trail runners so we just followed the routes that others had trod before us. Turned out that we ended up doing almost exactly the same loop I had done before.
Along the way, the storm picked up again and we ended up enjoying a delightful winter wonderland. Perfection.
