| no partners | | There was an annular eclipse in the valley 11 years ago, and I thought it was reasonably cool to experience so I thought it would be fun to head north and look at the fireball in the sky.
Not a fan of following the crowds, but always looking out for cool scenes, I discovered a little-known arch that was ideally situated for the early morning solunar display. After some logistics and adventure, I was able to swing around and line it up pretty well for a cool experience I'll probably remember for a while.
As a non-photographer with a cell phone I had no great expectations of producing the stunning fake photo composites that have filled the social medias over the past severals days. But somehow I managed to capture a couple of shots through my poptarts wrapper taped over the lens that didn't leave me blindly staring at the sky. Perfect.
Celestial phenomena aside, this part of the world is extraordinarily scenic and enjoyable to visit. |
