| no partners | | I did a counter clockwise loop starting from road South of Margies peak. I followed the ridge up that was to the right of the peak from my starting point. This ridge had a lot of ups and downs, like a rollercoaster. The hike was very rocky and there was not a lot of brush to go around. The plant life consisted mainly of palo verde, teddy bear cholla, creosote, and some saguaros. I saw a lot of quartz in a few areas. There were a few rock formations on the high ridge which I was able to use to get some shade. At the peak there was a pole and a registry nearby. I signed the registry and noticed that the last person to sign was in March 2023. On the way down, I decided to follow the ridgeline going South from the summit. This looked shorter than what I hiked getting up. Part way down this ridgeline, I saw a way to get down to the canyon which I thought might save some time, so I took this route. Once down inside the canyon, I was able to move a bit faster. I saw a lot of dark lava rock and several washes heading North-South.
