I would have to say of all the New Years hikes I have been on with the HAZ folks this one was absolutely the best so far. I had fears of being attacked by catclaw and possibly freezing to death but the catclaw was manageable and the temps were just about perfect. I had heard about Bolder Bob's cabin before but had never ventured back to find it. It was cool to see all the relics. My favorite part was the wall where he had included bottles to allow light to come in. I also enjoyed looking at the old cars (which I had seen previously while doing the AZT) as well as going to the mine.

Super fun group of people and great hike. Happy New Year Everyone!
