| partners | | Bruce, Dave and I headed down to hike Picacho Peak and see how the wildflowers were doing. Not too busy to start as we got to park right at the trailhead. Nice temps all day although the direct sunlight for the last hour felt warmer than it was to me. I had heard there was some new cable but I didn’t see any on our route. We did our loop clockwise. One guy leaving the summit as we got there so we had our short break to ourselves and left as the next group showed up. Bruce and Dave did the extra summit while I started down. They caught up before we turned onto the Sunset Vista trail. We saw some flowers here and there but not near the turnout of last year. Still some nice one’s and we were glad we did the loop to see them all.
Safety first was achieved and we had a very enjoyable outing! Good to get a hike in with these two! Thanks gents! Like HAZ, you rock! |
