| no partners | | | Decided to take a trip up to Browns Ranch / Pima Dynamite for a ride. Hit lots of rain at Apache Wash, just a few sprinkles at the Pima Dynamite trailhead parking lot. Stopped to chat with new friend Matt in the parking lot, he has a camper van like mine. I usually hit Browns Ranch to rack up some big miles, but today's plan was to hit the Black Diamond trails on the southwest side of the park. Left the parking lot and jumped on Latigo to Sidewinder for the Crested Saguaro photo op. Then played on the short Sidewinder loop trails before moving on to Rock Tank trail. Took Dare A Sarah to Snake Eyes and then Scorpion and Tarantula to Hackamore. Followed Hackamore northwest all the way to Axle Grease, then northeast to Browns Ranch road east to Hawknest. South on Hawknest to a sandy connector back to Axle Grease. Took Axle Grease all the way back to the trailhead. Saw 2 solo riders out and about and then another pair on Axle Grease on the way back to the trailhead. Broken clouds for some cover. Sun was hot, but there was a strong, cool, breeze blowing all morning. |
