| no partners | | Bunch of rain last night inspired me to go ride some EMRP sand! Started at the Estrella Foothills Community Park where I met Dave. We were riding some of the same trails and decided to head out together. From the parking lot we headed over to Park Ave to EMRP Iron Ranger. Then Connector to Pedersen. This is where Dave headed north and I went south to ride Pedersen counter-clockwise. Found a Maricopa County truck parked at the intersection of Pedersen and Gadsden. Got to the Pedersen/Pedersen intersection and started the long sandy climb to the east. Sand was in good shape and I was making good time. Made the turn north and ran into Dave a little past Homestead. Dave and I rode back to the parking lot the way he came in, Pedersen, Gadsden, Toothaker, Pedersen, Connector, Park Ave. Nice Monday retiree ride! Saw a couple on MTB bikes and a hiker at the Quartz Throne on Pedersen. |

| no partners | | With all the rain on Sunday and Monday I was anxious to hit the sandy EMRP trails that I LOVE so much. Had pickleball class in Surprise this morning, which delayed my start until about 11:30. Air was cool, but the Sun was HOT, gusty winds made it nice. Started at the Estrella Foothills Community Park and took Park Ave over to the iron ranger. Crossover trail to Pedersen and followed that counter clockwise south and then east. Then ran Homestead downhill back to Pedersen north to Gadsden east to Toothaker. Toothaker to Pedersen to Crossover and then east on Jolly Roger and Doubloon to Brethren's Court and Rum Runner down to Park Ave to the parking lot. Saw one hiker on Rum Runner. Great day to be out and about! |
