It was my last free day before starting work, and I needed to go to Prescott anyhow - so I decided to visit another lake ... or two, actually.
I thought I had done this hike many years previously, but it wasn't what I remembered, so maybe not.
Other than the main picnic/boat launch area, it was very quiet - especially the lower lake. Encountered a handful of other hikers and dog walkers, and a pair of equestrians near the lower lake.
Temperatures were pleasant, scenery was nice and birding was pretty good.
Definitely a good choice to get out for a couple hours.
