| no partners | | I officially moved to the Verde Valley last week and I couldn't be happier about it!
I've done some birding and biking around my new neighborhood, and visited Montezuma Well in between getting settled in and running errands - but I was ready for a quick overnight getaway.
I stopped at Watson Lake for a bit of hiking and birding when I hit town. The lake is always stunning ... next time I will definitely bring my kayak, and my discs - the disc golf course looks really fun!
Hiked from my spot at Hilltop Campground down to and around Lynx Lake. The birding was decent, and there weren't too, too many people - other than a group boating, swimming and playing near the South shore.
I hiked the loop clockwise and, as mentioned, it is easy to follow and fairly flat - very pleasant. Bonus being so close to town was Five Guys for dinner.
I have a little more than two more weeks before I start work, so I plan on much more hiking and probably some more camping soon!  |
