Joined Chumley for Kendrick Peak. Not an early start but it's a short hike so no rush on the climb. We made the summit in decent time and the temps were pretty awesome especially considering this was the first really hot weekend of the summer. Fair number of people already on trail with the late start but nothing crazy.

Took a nice break on the summit with a cool breeze and just really pleasant. Tough to leave but we started back down. Chumley decided to hike down the Pumpkin Trail while I continued back down Kendrick. The plan was for me to pick him up at the Pumpkin trailhead but he took an off trail short cut part way down Pumpkin and took it to Kendrick beating me back to the trailhead.

Overall fun hike...the trail is fantastic and really enjoy the upper switchbacks!
