Hart was a great lake to sleep overnight at and Tamarack was a nice late afternoon side trip. I had thoughts of getting to Chaffin Lake, but the route seemed a bit more engaging than what I wanted to put Dot through at the time.
The hike to Hart Lake was pleasant and the trail was in pretty good condition, a few fords near the end that could be a little tricky in highwater, but we managed find. The trail to Tamarack was soggy and a little overgrown. We had the lakes to ourselves and did not see anyone over the two days. |
