| no partners | | I have been meaning to do this little hike since my first trip to the Bitterroots, however, whenever I found myself in the area, it was always after a larger hike, or I had longer objectives in mind. So with a snowy/rainy morning forecasted and staying just a few minutes away in Hamilton, I finally decided to check this short hike off my list. It did not take long for me to regret not doing this hike sooner. This hike really packs some punch for its short distance.
Great trail to the overlook, a few well placed benches along the way and great scenery from the start to include some trailside flowers to go along with the big views. The overlook offered an absolutely stunning vantage point of the iconic Blodgett Canyon and may offer one of the best views that I have seen in the Bitterroot Range to date. A dusting of snow from the night before and some moody clouds further enhanced the views. |
