Lots of thunder earlier but no sign of rain and few clouds in the sky by 6:30a. It was humid but nice enough to hike. The trail is easy and open with a few hikers and bikers along the way. I hiked out Ruidoso trail to the Spillway trail and looped back on an unnamed trail. To add a few extra miles I hiked out and back on the County Line trail. Not many critters out but a good stroll.
