The plan was to complete the loop but somebody wasn't awake and didn't notice a bottle of water fell out out his pack on the drive and so the hydration supply was low. The morning was nice and the sun didn't come out until my turn around point. I decided to cut it short and just hike to the high point on Black Mesa trail. Not too many critter out besides the long-eared rodents. I only saw two hikers on trail but three other vehicles in the lot on my return. I did see a nice mule deer with felt covered antlers cross the road on the drive out.
