| partners | | Headed for the rim for an annual trip to check out some fall colors. Kathy had not been here before, and she left thinking that Karl and I were liars. An insanely hot summer? An October that mimic'd July? Whatever it was, fall is a dud up here. No other way to put it. Not early, not late, just not happening. And so it goes.
It was otherwise an enjoyable 10 mile hike in the woods, with warm temps in the 70s, unlike any autumn foliage thing I've done before. It was youth hunt weekend, so blind teenagers with guns kept us on our toes. |
