9L had never done this one and since we were in the hood with some time to kill, I suggested it might be fun.

I forgot how awful the 4 miles of driving on 180 is. Not much water in the deep mud puddles, but so much more bone-jarring rocky than I remembered.

9 or 10 vehicles were parked at the trailhead and we passed a couple of groups along the way to the lake. As we learned yesterday, the lake is about an adult low, but at the head of the lake it is much more apparent than at the dam.

It was actually a little bit warm in the sun. October 27. Go figure.
