Intended to get some hiking in on the AZT, have not done this section before. 1/2 mile into the hike, twisted my ankle pretty good and hit the ground. Thought the hike was over but as I started to limp back to the truck, I was able to bear weight OK, so I decided to go ahead and do some hiking anyway as a test. Hiked as far as the Sycamore Creek crossing, cut over to the road and ambled back to the TH. I'll have to come back another day to get more of this sections in. Aside from the injury, the weather was great, the trail is in great condition.
