| no partners | | Written 5-11-2025. The beginning of our three hike day at Page. We were able to get tickets for the tour and even though it was pretty chilly and windy. We showed up early at the ticket center, per their request (kind of like the airlines) along with others. Finally we got the head 'em up, move 'em out and we found our little bus for our ride to the TH. Cousin Connie also came along for this one. Temp 38.7, sunny, wind, 55% humidity.
Our tour guide used to lead the photography tours that they no longer offer. He's been doing it for quite some time and I thought he was a good guide. I do feel like we were rushed to keep ahead of the next group behind us. What was great is he would grab my phone from time to time and show me the best shot and setting. But, of course, since it's been so long, I don't remember his guidance . He was getting excited about heading to NFR in Vegas and told us about his new pick up truck. We had more or less, occupied his time while we were finishing up.
Anyway, the canyon certainly lives up to the hype; even though this is a terrible time of year for the light. However, you know me, I just kept shooting. It is a fun place to photograph, that's for sure. You really can't go wrong. My new Ultra would have done much better in this low light. I think our group photo turned out pretty good but then again, I didn't take it .
Here is the video I put together. [ youtube video ]
I bet you're glad I'm leaving for a couple weeks, ha! |

Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled. |
