| no partners | | The high temp in Marana was 108 on this day which means it was a good day to get up to Mt Lemmon. I ended up doing this hike after dark when it was cooler.
I've driven by this peak hundreds of times and never knew it was even there. I believe I hiked up in this area before but most likely I never stood on the summit.
It was an incredibly fun adventure finding the high point in the dark with a headlamp. There are many ways to go. There are some massive hoodoos and they were incredible to look at even in the dark. I can only imagine what they might look like in the daytime. Only downside was some graffiti on some of the hoodoos.
The scramble starts off relatively steep and gets progressively easier as you ascend. At the top there's a 6 or 7 foot rock formation which was relatively easy to climb to get to the high point.
