Hiked a nearly 8 mile loop in this area from the Power Road TH. I can never keep track of the names of the trails in this area. I tried to keep it kind of level but I still got over 1K AEG. The climbs kind of sneak up on you. Lots of bikers early, no one at all the last 3.5 miles. Then when I got back there were hikers going out starting after 10am.

Only interesting thing to see were the 2 coyotes checking out the bikers helping out another biker who's bike was broken. they seemed to be hovering over them, like they sensed a woundedness. When they spotted me getting pics of them, they got spooked and took off.

Seemed kind of hot at first after sitting in the AC, but then the temperature was actually very mild for late June in Phoenix. The low humidity has been a big plus lately.
