| no partners | | Started from the Desert Vista TH and took the Hawk's Nest Trail to Desert Tortoise and Valle Verde to the Great Horned Owl trail and up to Union Peak. On the way back down, took the Cactus Wren Trail around and finished the Great Horned Owl loop, and then headed back to the car.
Weather was actually really nice at the start, no major heat lots of breezes and wind to chase away the heat. By the end, it did get a little toasty. Most of the foot traffic was spotted early, but even as I finished up after 11am, there were some stragglers getting a later start in the heat. |
