The going was very slow and I did not hesitate to get wet. I slogged straight through the creek most of the way. The water never went above mid-thigh. I camped on a sweet little beach next to a beautiful reflective pool and spent the evening testing out my brand new Tokina 12-24 mkII. Great lens! I like it much more than my Sigma. Shots seem sharper and the lens is much more heavy duty. With my new tripod I felt like a pro! I woke up around 5:30 this morning to shoot a peak I had spotted catch the first light of the day, then hiked back. Fun trip, next time I'm starting earlier and going deeper into the canyon. |
