| no partners | | I branched out some from the Bitterroots and headed east to the Pioneer Mountains. I picked this hiked because it was highlighted in a guidebook I have for hiking in Montana.
I got a pretty early start and started to an empty trailhead. The trail was in excellent condition, the temps were perfect and the walking was easy. The lake was a scenic little lake with a nice backdrop. After a few quick pics and a soak for Dot, we returned the way we hiked in.
An excellent intro to the Pioneer Mountains. The second most scenic lake named Sawtooth that I have ever seen. |
